Katie “Kate” Machado pairs more than a decade of legal experience with a highly strategic approach to residential real estate.

A graduate of the University of Oregon (B.S., 2003) and the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law (J.D., 2008), Katie built her legal career as a litigator at Doll Amir & Eley, LLP, a boutique Century City law firm. Her practice focused on intellectual property, entertainment, and business disputes from inception through trial, and she represented numerous Fortune 500 companies in high-stakes matters.

Katie now brings that same advocacy, precision, and command of contracts to her work in real estate. Clients value her ability to navigate deal terms, anticipate issues before they arise, and negotiate from a position of strength—skills sharpened over years in her law practice.

Beyond her legal expertise, Katie has a genuine passion for Los Angeles architecture and interiors. She enjoys helping clients not only secure the right home but truly envision its potential. She regularly takes courses at Otis College of Art & Design and participates in Los Angeles Conservancy events to deepen her understanding of local history and design.

Katie lives in Inglewood with her husband, Fabio Machado, a former ATP-ranked professional tennis player. They frequently travel to São Paulo, Brazil, to visit family and maintain close ties to Fabio’s hometown.
